Hope Wrapped is our annual Christmas outreach that brings joy, dignity, and connection to families impacted by incarceration. Each year, we partner with caring individuals and local churches to provide thoughtful, personalized gifts to the children of incarcerated mothers at Chester County Prison. More than just a gift drive, Hope Wrapped is a chance to share the love of Christ, build meaningful relationships, and remind families they are not forgotten.
Sponsors choose a family unit or sibling group, helping them connect with the family as a whole. After choosing a family, sponsors receive the family’s details and personally contact the caregivers to learn about gift ideas and, if possible, they also deliver the gifts themselves, creating a meaningful, personal connection. For larger families, we encourage small groups or multiple sponsors to work together.
In addition to their sponsors' gifts, we raise funds to provide each family with at least one age-appropriate Bible. We also bless caregivers with a $50 Walmart gift card in recognition of their vital role. To complete the circle, sponsors are invited to write a card to the child's mom in prison—letting her know what was given and how the delivery went. This thoughtful gesture builds connection, dignity, and hope for both mother and child.
In November, sponsors use SignUpGenius to select families based on location and family size. If you’re interested in sponsoring a child or family, we invite you to review our program guidelines here.
Hope Wrapped serves around 100 children annually Your donation helps cover the cost of Bibles, gift cards, cards, and other needs. Every sponsor plays a vital role in sharing Christ’s love in a tangible way.
The Grandmother Invited Me into Her Home
""It was such a blessing to be able to participate in Hope Wrapped. The grandmother invited me into her home and let me meet her grandson who was receiving the gifts. She was so thankful of everything and texted me again afterwards to let us know how much the kids enjoyed their presents."

We Were Both in Tears
“My first interaction with our caregiver had us both in tears. Her granddaughter was so sad her mom would not be home for Christmas, and that she would be unable to get her any Christmas gifts. Oh hello, God! That’s exactly where we came in. The grandmother and I texted back and forth as we were shopping for gifts and ended up going to her restaurant she worked at to drop off the gifts. She showed us a picture of her granddaughter and talked about how hard things were at home. And that this would provide so much joy for her granddaughter."

Helps Humanize People in Prison
"It was wonderful to get to know such a loving caregiver. We communicated with the grandmother over the period of a month, getting additional specific information on what her grandson likes and hearing a bit of their story. Knowing a mom in prison wants her child taken care of in her absence helps humanize people in prison and reminds us of the ripple effects of every decision we make as individuals and as a society."
