We offer a range of prison ministry programs inside Chester County Prison designed to bring hope, healing, and practical support to those behind bars through the transformative love of Jesus Christ.
These programs address the unique challenges that incarcerated individuals face, helping them find strength, redemption, and a renewed sense of purpose. Through spiritual guidance, emotional support, and practical resources, we aim to create a transformative experience that encourages growth and self-reflection.
New Mornings is honored to serve inside Chester County
Prison Correctional Center (Chester County Prison's work release center), bringing hope and encouragement to those incarcerated and preparing for their release.
Our dedicated team of staff and volunteers leads Women’s Discovery Group every Tuesday night, creating a safe space for women to explore God’s Word in a small group setting. Additionally, we host Chapel services on the third Monday of each month for women in minimum security at the main prison. We build meaningful relationships with those we serve through 1:1 mentorships, offering continued support as they transition back into the world—where they must navigate life’s challenges while holding onto their newfound faith in Christ.
The women we meet come from many different backgrounds—such as trauma, abuse, addiction, grief. These challenges combined with poor choices have all played a role in their journeys. But one thing remains the same: they are in pain and need to know they are seen, valued, and not forgotten. We see prison as a unique opportunity—a place where the distractions of the world fade, allowing individuals to reflect on their past, recognize the consequences of their choices, and discover what truly matters. In these quiet moments, transformation begins, and hope is restored.
In partnership with Chester County Prison's mental health case manager, we offer Reentry Resource Workshops at the main prison to help residents and their families connect with vital community resources.
Through our strong connections within the Chester County Reentry Coalition and the Coatesville Area Resource Network, we personally know many of the agencies we refer clients to, ensuring trusted support.
We bring these agencies inside the prison, giving residents direct access to valuable services. We are thrilled to provide this opportunity to bring hope, build trust, and guide individuals toward a brighter future by addressing immediate needs. We pray that this practical support will help empower families and transform communities.
By equipping individuals with the resources needed for a
successful transition, we are fostering stability, confidence, and hope beyond prison walls. These workshops not only connect residents to essential services like housing, employment, and mental health support but also help rebuild their sense of dignity and self-worth. Through collaboration with dedicated community partners, we are breaking barriers, restoring lives, and creating pathways to lasting change. Every connection made is a step toward a stronger, more supported future—because no one should have to navigate reentry alone.
In Hebrews 3:13 Paul exhorts us to "encourage one another daily, as long as it is called today." Personal mail is treasured in prison. Personal mail is treasured in prison. That is why in addition to our in-person programs, we send weekly Scripture Cards of Encouragement to those who attend our groups, those transferred to other prisons or those who request cards. They are a vital source of encouragement and connection throughout the week.
Follow us on Facebook and Instagram to see our weekly cards
and join us in spreading hope and encouragement.
With 68% of ex-offenders returning to prison within 3-4 years, reentry challenges like housing, employment, and past trauma can feel overwhelming. Mentorship is key—a supportive guide can make all the difference.
In partnership with ReTURNing Hearts, we offer orientation material for new volunteers at Chester County Prison and Prison and Reentry Mentor Training to equip volunteers with the skills needed to support successful reintegration. This program empowers mentors to help individuals rebuild their lives. We hope to someday offer additional training in trauma and healthy boundaries.
For our New Mornings volunteers, we also offer 1:1 mentoring training in Chester County Prison to help better equip our team. This material can also be made available to other groups going to CCP who are interested in mentorships. Together, we can make a lasting impact in the lives we of others.
Make a meaningful impact by becoming a volunteer with
