OUR VOLUNTEERS

"I've formed meaningful connections."

What initially drew me to Prison Ministry was my spiritual gifting. I have a passion for teaching and evangelism, so it felt like a natural fit. To my surprise, I discovered that most of the women attending Bible Study were already believers! This unexpected revelation shifted my focus to discipleship, which I have grown to love deeply. Over the years, I’ve formed meaningful connections with many of these women and have supported them as they transitioned back into life after prison. Through this journey, I’ve learned the humbling truth that, but for the grace of God, there go I. As I reflect on this calling, I’m reminded of God’s hand in it all.

"Provided so much joy for her granddaughter."

My first interaction with our caregiver had us both in tears. Her granddaughter was so sad her mom would not be home for Christmas, and that she would be unable to get her any Christmas gifts. Oh hello, God! That’s exactly where we came in. The grandmother and I texted back and forth as we were shopping for gifts and ended up going to her restaurant she worked at to drop off the gifts. She showed us a picture of her granddaughter and talked about how hard things were at home. And that this would provide so much joy for her granddaughter

OUR CLIENTS

"God is with me and guiding my life."

God has given me the time I needed to get to know myself in prison. He's given me the strength to set boundaries and stick to them. He's given me time to sit and think about my life and how to turn it around for the positive. New Mornings helped me relate the Bible to my life and has given me reassurance that God is with me and is guiding my life. God has a plan and has not given up on me.

"Helped me keep my faith."

New Mornings has been a wonderful blessing to me during my temporary detention at Chester County Correctional Center. This ministry has not only helped me continue my praise and worship of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in the company of other Christians, but they have helped me to keep my faith and spirits high during an unfortunate situation. My prayer is that God continues to anoint and bless this ministry and all of the women who take advantage of the services it provides. I thank you all.
